What is Fluimucil?

Fluimucil is a drug which helps in loosening the mucus which accumulates along the walls of respiratory tubes. This action of the drug helps in throwing out any phlegm that might have accumulated within the lungs, wind pipe, throat.

Composition of Fluimucil:

Fluimucil tablet is composed of Acetylcysteine. This is the medicinal component of the drug which is responsible for loosening of the mucus. Along with it, excipients are present which help the active component of drug to perform its therapeutic action. Excipients are neutral substances which act as a medium of transport for the drug to act. They do not interfere with the medicinal action of the drug.

What is Fluimucil Used for?

Fluimucil is indicated in the following health conditions:

  • Emphysema
  • Fibrosis of lungs
  • Bronchitis
  • Antidote to combat toxic effects of Paracetamol
